Motiveweight Has Been Revived and Revamped

Hi everyone, I’m back 😊

I never dreamed I would be away from this blog for so long. It’s been almost three years. WOW!!!
To be honest, as time went by, it looked as though I would never return because I felt done with the whole weight loss motivation thing. I felt I had delivered every weight loss motivational idea I could think of. I also did not want so much of my online life to revolve solely around weight loss. Each new post in the last six months of posting here felt like I was pulling teeth. I knew I needed something else, but at the time I was not really sure what I needed. Sometimes in life you feel that something is missing but you just don’t know exactly what it is. You just know you’re feeling a sort of niggling discontent.

I have discovered the major cause of this discontent was that I was not doing what I really wanted to do with this blog.

I have discovered that my new goal for this blog is to create empowering and inspirational content ON ALL AREAS OF LIFE, not just weight loss because I have learned that it is not just what we eat and how we move our bodies that determines whether we’ll become overweight. There are many lifestyle factors, including stress, low self-esteem, not living our truth, people pleasing, etc, that will make us overeat for comfort. I want this blog to address some of these issues by offering engaging, enjoyable, interesting, easy to implement ideas and strategies that will inspire you to work out the kinks in your life so that you can also work off the extra weight on your body.

We all carry unwanted ‘weight’ in many areas of our lives, whether it’s on our bodies, our romantic relationships, our jobs, our homes, our interactions  with friends and family, our negative thoughts about ourselves, our unwanted habits, etc. So henceforth I will be posting on all these areas in the hope that you, the readers of this blog, will see the revamped Motiveweight as a valuable and important resource companion on your journey to achieving many of your goals, desires and dreams and not only the weight loss ones.

I have a YouTube channel now called iiCANDii Mind Gym. iiCANDii is an acronym for "Imagery for I Can Do It Inspiration". You will find inspirational videos and ideas on many personal development topics. Here is a link to my latest video on iiCANDii posted today March 4th 2020, hope you find it useful.

I intend to post still images from my iiCANDii YouTube channel here on MotiveWeight regularly and of course you can visit the channel to view the video connected to those still images. Here is one such image from the last video posted.

Hope you all enjoy the new revamped MotiveWeight and find it useful in many areas of your life.

Sending you lots of love, encouragement and empowerment.

It's Never Too Late To Start Over

Starting slow is still a start
Remember why you started.
If you’re tired of starting over, stop giving up.
Everyone starts somewhere…just keep going.
Every day is a new beginning, take a deep breath and start again.
Stop saying I wish, start saying I will
Do what you have always wanted to do, it’s never too late to start.
Start now. Make it happen!
It’s never too late to start over. It’s never too late to be happy.
Motivation gets you started habit keeps you going.
Imagine a new story for your life and start living it.
Starting over sucks, so keep going.
Stop wishing, start doing.
The key to success is to start before you are ready.
Think big, start small.
You don’t have to be great to start but you have to start to be great!

You Can't 'Out-Exercise' A Bad Diet

You can’t change your body just by exercising. As a matter of fact, I’d say you are wasting your time in the gym until you clean up your diet and implement a sound fitness nutrition protocol. It would be nice if we could work off last night’s junk meal with some extra cardio. Despite what some trainers would have you believe, it just doesn’t work that way. When you are about to cheat and eat that slice of pizza or bowl of ice cream, remember the Fitness Nutrition 80:20 rule. What goes into your mouth accounts for 80% of how you look. -Source

Focus On One or Two Well-Defined Goals

“Most people never really get focused about fitness,” says Mike Robertson, MS, CSCS, co-owner of Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training in Indianapolis. “They switch programs every few days or not at all. They miss workouts for weeks at a time.”

As a result, no matter how earnest our intentions, many of us miss the mark. Not for lack of trying, but because we don’t have a winning blueprint or a strategy. “It’s only when you focus on one or two well-defined goals and follow a clear plan to accomplish them that you start to make real progress,”

Robertson, along with many other leading trainers, is articulating a fitness truth grounded in the basic tenets of business: If you want to accomplish any complex, challenging objective, you have to set clear goals, approach each of your hurdles systematically, routinely assess progress, and course-correct when necessary.
