I recently became quite interested in hula hooping as an exercise when I came across someone on Tumblr who told me she used hooping to lose quite a lot of weight (Check out her blog HERE). She inspired me so much that I ordered one on Amazon for myself and it will arrive tomorrow. I'm so excited about getting started because I know for sure that I'll enjoy this form of exercise.
While researching hula hooping I found the video below on YouTube and I encourage you to watch it because it clearly demonstrates that not only is hula hooping fun, it will also help you get a good cardiovascular workout and help tone up your body as well.

Exercise Motivation Tip 1 - Write a list of the benefits of exercise and stick that list on a wall where you will see it every day.
Don't underestimate the power of dancing to help you lose weight, get toned, and stay fit. A 150lb person can burn as much as 200 calories in just 30 minutes of aerobic dancing. Dancing tones the muscles, helps keep joints supple and provides a good cardiovascular workout if done vigorously. With the combination of your favourite music and dance moves, dancing has to be one of the most enjoyable forms of exercise for weight loss, fitness and general well-being.
I think exercise tests us in so many ways, our skills, our hearts, our ability to bounce back after setbacks. This is the inner beauty of sports and competition, and it can serve us all well. -Peggy Fleming
