Get Comfortable With Being Uncomfortable

Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Hmm…what do I mean by that? Many things. Firstly, doing things that make you uncomfortable yields change. And guess what? The more you experience that discomfort, the more comfortable it will become. But unless you try you’ll never know, will you? You’ll never get to the other side. So until you decide to push yourself harder at the gym; try new foods; confront a family member or a co-worker about something that’s bothering you; learn how to face and manage your anxiety or depression; make conscious efforts to break bad habits…you will stay right where you are in this moment. Are you OK with that? Do you want to settle for good enough? Or continuously feel like you are just hanging on? I hope not. And  I believe it was Einstein who said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.” Albert was a smart cookie. So change. evolve. get uncomfortable. You will be OK. Source

Expand Your Comfort Zone

We avoid exercise because it’s not comfortable, but if we expand our comfort zone a little at a time, we can make exercise something we’re comfortable with, after a little repetition. -Zen Habits

Get Comfortable With Being Uncomfortable

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. So if you’re feeling uncomfortable right now, know that the change taking place in your life is a beginning, not an ending… -Neale Donald Walsch

Train Outside Your Comfort Zone

Train outside your comfort zone - Your comfort zone is the biggest obstacle to your fitness and weight loss...so always train outside it.

A study carried out in 1996 by sports scientist Professor Izumi Tabata found that training outside of your comfort zone or, to use the technical term, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) - four times a week achieved the same benefits as someone who trained five times a week doing, steady, long-duration cardio work. -Matt Hussey
