Visualize Yourself Succeeding At Weight Loss


A recent study at McGill University reports that the best way to improve your eating habits is to not only create an action plan but to visualize yourself following through. Participants were asked to consume more fruit for one week. One group simply set the goal to eat more fruit. The other group set the same goal, wrote it down and also visualized carrying out the specific steps needed to eat more fruit. For example, they visualized themselves purchasing fruit and eating it at particular times. While both groups ate more fruit, the group that used visualization ate twice as much. Imagine The Future You

Spend some time each week imagining how the future you will look and feel.

One way to do this is to imagine yourself in a YouTube video as your slimmer, fitter self, telling people how you managed to lose all the weight and get fitter. Make this mind-movie as vivid as you can, have fun with it. You can even imagine yourself on a TV show and the host is asking you to tell viewers how you managed to change your body and mindset so completely, effectively and permanently. Remember, successful weight loss requires you to change three areas of your life - nutrition, exercise and mindset...this little exercise will play a part in helping you change your mindset.

Message From My Future Self #1


I used to play a game with myself whereby I would pretend that my future self had lost all the extra weight and got super fit and would send me messages from the future to encourage me on my journey.

I thought I’d revive this little game in a series of posts entitled ‘message from my future self’ because this game is really a very powerful visualisation technique that really gets your mind believing that the weight loss and fitness you seek is an absolute reality in your future timeline.

Once you believe, really believe that something you desire is definitely going to come true in your life you will do everything in your power to make it happen.
