I recently became quite interested in hula hooping as an exercise when I came across someone on Tumblr who told me she used hooping to lose quite a lot of weight (Check out her blog HERE). She inspired me so much that I ordered one on Amazon for myself and it will arrive tomorrow. I'm so excited about getting started because I know for sure that I'll enjoy this form of exercise.
While researching hula hooping I found the video below on YouTube and I encourage you to watch it because it clearly demonstrates that not only is hula hooping fun, it will also help you get a good cardiovascular workout and help tone up your body as well.
Exercise Motivation Tip 5: As soon as you wake up, get dressed for your workout.
Try this little trick tomorrow morning...
As soon as you wake up, get dressed for your workout....don’t have a cup of coffee, or read your email, or do anything else that you would normally do at this time. Once you have your workout clothes on start working out. If you do this every morning you’ll create an extremely powerful habit that will guarantee you never, ever miss your workout again.
This trick worked for me this morning...While still groggy-eyed I was lacing up my trainers and putting on my workout clothes. I would normally have headed straight for the coffee and my computer and would tell myself I'll exercise "some time later" - on many days, "later" just didn't arrive. Today it felt sooooo good to be doing my workout first thing in the morning before the excuses had time to enter my mind. Now, I can't wait for tomorrow morning to come so I can try this little trick all over again!

We've all heard of the Nike phrase 'Just Do It', well here's another phrase for you...JUST START. The power of 'just starting' should not be underestimated. Starting is relatively easy. Put on your trainers and just START. Starting is the ignition switch and the propulsion you need to continue...once you start the energy to continue follows. Just START, today, tomorrow, and the next day, JUST START and the rest will take care of itself.

Focus On The Benefits Of Exercise
I've recently discovered that paying particular attention to the benefits and positive impact that exercise will have on my life actually makes me more motivated to exercise. I literally meditate on this daily by sitting still for a minute or two and thinking of all the great things daily exercise will do for me personally. Try this yourself, make your mental list a personal list and not just what you think you should say. Think of how great you will look and feel, think of how confident you will be, etc. Writing down the benefits works even better.
