Throw Out The Scale


I must say this quote really had quite an impact on me. I have been thinking of not using the scale for quite some time and the words, "if you don't like what you see in the mirror what difference does it make what the scale says" was the catalyst that will make me stop using the scales (at least for a while). It's true, why does the number matter? We all want to look better, feel better and be healthier...there are far better and more effective ways to measure these things than the scales....I think I'll make the month of May, NO WEIGH MAY!

I love this post. I think weight loss is important but if all we focus on is the number then we loss motivation if we don't see results. I think it's more productive when we work hard and we naturally see the results.

I know that there are a lot of ways to lose weight and there are a lot of people out there that do not like looking at scales to weight themselves. I know that there are a lot of places out there that can help you out with you losing weight. I know that I would not mind losing some weight myself.

Thanks for posting this! I completely agree that what you see in the mirror is far more important than what the scale tells you. I think this is especially true when you consider how different people's body compositions are. I'm definitely going to try taking a month off of weighing myself.
