Link Exercise To Something You Enjoy

Dancing is my thing. I have only to hear a tune that I love and I instantly get up from my chair and dance around my home. Recently I've begun doing this daily. I often go on to YouTube and type in some of the good old oldies that I love, then I dance away for 30 minutes to an hour...and I love every single second. When I'm enjoying myself like this, I don't want to stop and I look forward to doing it again the next day, plus I know I got a good workout because at the end of it I'm sweating and huffing and puffing. What do you love doing that does not look like exercise but can give you a great workout?

Hi Linda, I didn't see jumping rope on your list above.(just kidding) But there are some awesome jumpers on Youtube. Exercise to something I enjoy...hmmmn, that sentence is an oxymoron for me. Does competitive eating count? No, I guess not. You make so many inspirational and motivating picture posters, and often more than 1 in a day, that I do not know where you get the energy to be so creative. They would make great gifts in the form of those one day per page calendars. I just wanted to say thank you for being you.

Lol...jump rope...thank God you are kidding, too much like hard work to me, although you make it look easy;)
I really love the idea of exercising daily for the rest of my life and I know the only way that this will become a fact and not just fiction in my life is to make sure I'm having a lot of fun while doing it. Dancing for weight loss and fitness inspires me a great deal especially when I see celebrities go on these dancing TV contests who lose weight and get fit while having lots of fun. I've tried so many different types of exercise in the past; jogging, treadmill, gym machines, even jumping rope, but after a few weeks I find my enthusiasm waning...hopefully dancing like a lunatic around my home will be the magic exercise pill that I'll keep taking. I love the idea of the calendar gifts, were you thinking digital calendars or hard copy? I would imagine hard copy would prove expensive if there was one picture per day for 365 days. Thanks for the appreciation :)

Treadmill...you mean dreadmill. Just the idea of it turns it into a four letter word - work! Here in the states the TV show is called, Dancing with the Stars. It jumped started Marie Osmond's weightloss, but now that she is a spokesperson for nutri-system they get all the credit. It didn't occur to me that you could make a digital calendar. I wouldn't know how you would market that versus a hard copy. It's 3:37 where you are, when do you sleep?

Would you believe I've switched my sleeping time to match that of the US...yes I know I'm crazy. I'm a bit of a maverick and since I've turned blogging into a full time job I can literally choose my hours.

How very interesting. I couldn't do it anymore, but then you're much younger than I. I need my sunshine. Until next time ;)

Younger yes, much younger no, (only 3 years difference, although in my head I'm about 25). I still get quite a lot of sun at dawn because I'm still awake, and in the summer months it doesn't get dark until quite late so I still catch the afternoon sun :)

Well Linda, you are the coolest lady I know in London, England. With all the energy that you put in to blogging and your zest for life, you are living proof that age is just a meaningless number. I will try to live worthy of your friendship:)
