You Are Better Than You Think
Keep telling yourself everyday..."I'm better than I think, I can do anything. I'm going to start now for a better life." -Robert Kennedy of Oxygen magazine
Hi Norma, thanks for the comment. Before creating this poster I had never heard of Robert Kennedy of Oxygen magazine. Even after I'd created the poster, to me his words were just another great quote to add to my picture...that is until I saw your comment, which prompted me to do some research on Robert Kennedy. WOW! You are right he does deserve a lot more recognition. I found the following words about him on Wikipedia:
In 1972 Kennedy went into business for himself, selling courses of instruction by mail on nutrition, bodybuilding and fitness. In 1974 he started his first magazine, MuscleMag International, with an initial print run of 110,000. He had no previous experience with magazine publishing and MuscleMag would not turn a profit for 15 years - forcing Kennedy to dodge creditors and even sell his home and his car to finance it. The magazine is still in publication and Robert Kennedy Publishing currently holds 44 per cent of the North American health and fitness magazine market with a readership of more than three million.-Wikipedia
Thanks again Norma, I can't wait to learn more about this inspiring man and his work.
Thanks for your great blog! He just passed away but I'm an avid reader of Oxygen magazine & dedicated follower of the Eat Clean Diet, by his wife, Tosca Reno.
Robert Kennedy did so much to promote fitness for women and deserves a lot more recognition than he gets! Great use of the quote. :)
